I haven't seen any of the redo Eva, so I can't comment on Mari. However, Reina's rock in the hell out of Asuka.

i neeeeeeever thought i'd see H!P cosplaying such well-known characters, it's pretty awesome.
Reina is the perfect Asuka, Ayacho looks surprisingly good as Mari, and Momoko barely passes as Rei, at least she didn't try forcing Momochi despite the costume.. i think Mano would have made a perfect Rei, or perhaps Riho or Eripon (doing her serious-face) as others suggested.

There's something seriously wrong if Asuka and Mari looks more solemn than Rei
A few years ago iirc one character appearances in Gundam 00 was based on Reina too but yeah they totally should do this more often . This is why i love YuiKaori so much, i LOVE it when my general anime otaku interest intersect with H!P

I agree about Reina and Dawa looking awesome. Especially Dawa, and Reina.

Momoko, well, it doesn't look bad exactly, but she's typecast herself too much to even be thought of as Ayanami Rei. The character of Rei, although she is sullen, is never petulant. And she's comfortable in her own sylphid form even though she's has considerable discomfort relating to the outside world as a human being. None of that describes Momoko. Among current H!P members, I suppose Eripon would probably be the best. Mano would be...kinda scary as Rei I think.

Ayumi could be Rei. She's creepy and pale enough .

She's always smiling and on the verge of cracking up on something or another though, can't imagine Rei laughing her ass off every time Gendo strikes his signature pose
