I'm not the kind of person who states opinions as facts, I'm perfectly aware not everyone enjoys the same stuff and in this particular case, that a lot of people get annoyed by Momoko's character and wish it'd stop. When I "defend" it I like to think I'm not perceived as being serious in a "NO, YOU'RE WRONG" way, I even add " XD " or " " most of the time.

I think her pigtails are adorable as well, for what it's worth.

I think that Momoko takes so much abuse online (most of which is invited) that I don't mind when some one tries to big her up.

for me, hair down always >>>>>>>>>>>> updo Momoko, so it just kinda saddens me that it seems the pigtails will just be eternal from now on. :( she was my favorite Berryz since like 2005, she's now in danger of going down to 4th or 5th with the combination of look i don't like and one-note character. i miss her non-over the top humor that was witty/thought-out and didn't just fall back on a gag, and when her chara was real enough that you could believe it as not being an act (or as real as a chara like that can get, anyway).

yeah just feels so over the top and fake...

I mean I like Momoko, I really do! she is easily on top on my Berryz rankings along Miya and RiRi. Is that I find her face more adult like and besides, her hair is kinda funky in pigtails. They seems almost fake pigtails to me :P If someone like Risako who has a doll face and gorgeous thick hair were to use them I would like it. For Momoko is hairdown all the way imo

For me, it's just that she is overusing this hairstyle and the cat mimics everywhere she goes...

Momoko used to be my least favorite H!P member not named Aika. But after seeing more of her, and especially seeing this girl in person, I like her and respect the crap out of her. I can easily see how'd she'd annoy people but at the end of the day, you can NEVER say she didn't give it her all. The girl ain't the prettiest or the most talented but she still gets hers by being damn obnoxious. That's why she gets on shows like London Hearts and others. That's what gets her paid. That's why I think she's an awesome idol. She does what it takes to entertain, even if sometimes she makes an ass of herself.

I actually do respect how far she has come even if she built this cute character (although I can't deny she was EXTREMELY cute during Kids days), but my only concern is that this attitude is starting to become omnipresent all the time and it's probably not what Momo is really about.. I like her more when she's in Buono! for example, balancing cutesy with responsability where she looks more mature and cute without the pigtails.. she doesn't need them so why style your hair like this so much? :/

agreed, even if she falls from being one of my favorites in Berryz i still have respect for how hard she works to get stand out and entertain. and i was even rooting for her to keep it up at the beginning, when she started being the prominent one on TV shows. but she now brings that chara to daily H!P dealings (concerts, the Mobekimasu events, HaroPro Time, etc.) so it's like the old Momo has been lost completely. there's no balance.

Sayu, for example, had a very strong TV chara as well, but in H!P stuff she was still the same old Sayu. it was a lot easier to accept the over-the-top narcissism on TV because you see her tone it down everywhere else, and then eventually on TV it became less about her self-love and more about how she can improvise clever ways to put other people down! now that chara was/is funny, and is balanced out by the sweet/kind/kouhai-loving chara she gives us in every other situation. ^-^

Momo is more acceptable in Buono! because Miya never lets her get away with anything lol. cuts her off before she can finish and all that. but if anything, that just makes me like Miya more. XD
