It could be that it's just one big promotional stunt with Aoi Yu joining the group. Not to be a real long term member, but as it will turn out just for a major drama on airing on TV Tokyo (winter 2019 season) featuring Aoi Yu as a young women who is joining an established major young idol group. There will be a major plot twist when it turns out that one of the fans of the group is the ex boyfriend of the character played by Aoi Yu. She cannot accept that his oshi is Momona and not here, which leads to tension within the group and within the fan community when this info is leaked onto an international fan forum by an ex member of another group who is responsible for the subtitles.

Well...

I cannot wait until Friday to see who it will be.

I also want to see Momona react like a puppy again, although I fear she won't be the baby of the group anymore.

it would be a clash of narcissists types : Ozeki, Funaki and Kamikokuryo. Angerme has all kinds of personality types already.

One thing that ANGERME doesn't have is a swimsuit model type. Morning Musume.'18 has Fukumura and Makino, Juice=Juice has Uemura, Kobushi Factory has Innoe, and Tsubaki Factory has Yamagishi, but ANGERME is lagging on that front.

Even though Kikkawa Yuu probably is not going to join, I wouldn't be surprised if she put up on her Instagram a picture of her cosplaying an ANGERME PV outfit.

I wasn't expecting that! Good timing though, she/they'll get a few months with Ayacho still around. Maybe because they think that the period after her graduation might be tough and the group will need to find itself again since she's been the leader and face of ANGERME since its inception. I'm not doubting the girls, but it will probably take a moment for them to figure everything out and it probably wouldn't be the best moment for new members to join.

If any group could do with a new member it's Kobushi.

Ozeki is the only one who makes sense since she is the last Country Girl without a group. Especially since they brought Yamaki Risa and Manakan back into the fold.

Otherwise I have no idea why they would randomly add another girl without the announcement of an audition.
