Okay not failures. I don't see them as failures. How about unpopular? They were unpopular among Japanese fans. Which to H!P may be considered some type of failure. But doesn't mean they are actually failures in reality. Just by perception.

I would say they were "lackluster" and the unexpected graduations made their situation worse, but I would never consider them failures.

I means, Ogawa and Yuuka fans still blame 2nd gen up to this date, which is annoying af. If only they announced Ogawa's graduation months before, the audition and 2nd gen wouldn't received such negativity (at least in my opinion).

Anyways, Country Musume / Country Girls had a history of auditions in which they either only found 1 girl (Kimura, Satoda, Saitou) or none at all. I'm sure there are girls willing to audition for non-Momusu groups, but they just don't get that same hype level and a Morning Musume audition.

S/mileage didn't bothered having an audition because they wanted to change as soon as possible (which they did) and adding from Kenshuusei is so much easier. It's possible for ANGERME to have a 4th gen audition, but only the future would tell us.

On topic... Suzuki Airi said that the last episode on Buono!'s radio show there will be an announcement. I guess it could either be Buono! disbandment or Buono! comeback, it all depends on Miyabi. :fear:

The only thing that 2nd gen s/mileage has "failed" at is getting photobooks.

As for being lackluster, the last time an H!P group added a second generation was around 1998. It's not like they had a lot of models to learn from.

This is definitely not the thread for a 2nd gen S/mileage failure debate. Maybe take it to Musings/Rants?

I'm not-so-patiently awaiting the Buono announcement. :O

Saturday around 6pm japan time.

Which will happen during the Berryz Kobo Matsuri festival. :whistling:
Maybe Buono!, who will perform that weekend, will announce something.

Saki, Risako, and Miyabi were the three members I was the most anxious to hear post-Berryz plans from. I will be beyond happy if Buono! becomes a thing again and Miyabi keeps getting to perform (in H!P).

She'll take a break, but as she want to continue singing she'll prepare for some new music activities too.
She also plans to somehow try to get to work with fashion.

Momoko is still in H!P and so is Airi, so this could be a great way for Miyabi to stay around and keep singing. I would love if they became a thing again.
