And I noticed that while they're very attractive in an older, crowd-pleasing, easy-to-mainstream, fills-out-a-bikini-well sort of way, most of them simply don't have the same doll-like prettiness that the current MM do. There absolutely is an AKB "type" and a MM "type".

I feel the same too. They give different feelings and image. Personally, AKB girls give me a more mature vibe (they look older than their age imo) while MM still kind of preserve that young or youthful look. Like Sayumi is 24 but she still looks 17 haha

That MV was absolutely gorgeous. The effects are on point and the set itself indulges you with the song in such a good way.
The girls' expressions and how amazing they all look only add up to the value of the video, it's really amazing

This song. I'm not a big fan of the MV, although I like the idea behind it.

^ ^ I think styling also has something to do with it. But I do think of them as being more mature-looking in general. Except for Shimazaki Haruka. She's ridiculously pretty and doll-like. I bet she'd fit in really well in H!P. I think she said once that she had wanted to join Morning Musume in the past.

Sayu's expressions are so amazing I don't even know. <3 She might not be the best dancer or singer but damn, leave it to her to leave one hell of an impression in close ups.
