Good to see all the promotion is working out, and this should only result in even more publicity resulting in even better chart performances.
All in all, IMO the success comes down to 3 factors:
- Good line-up:
The 3 new generations really turned MM around after the platinum generations
- Better songs:
Better production, better singers allround, better line distributions, better dances
- More promotion:
The success of the recent singles (all H!P, not just MM) brought in the money to do something more, and it's working.
For me as someone who was really not interested in Platinum Era MM, this new MM really made me interested in MM instead of mainly Berryz, Mano & S/Mileage (in chronological order of interest). So I can also imagine very well why more people in Japan are getting more interested in MM again. Hopefully they and Tsunku will be able to keep this level up and not drop down again like what happened with the platinum generation.
