I don't think there's anything wrong with the black wig photo. It's provocative, sure, but only to our minds. She's fully dressed and very covered up, the ropes being the only indicator of something. It's quite low key, honestly. I've seen worse from underage photo books and bikini shots are worse than that.

Though the black Kimono reminds me of Kyouka, what first comes to my mind about the rope was the Rope priestess of fatal frame and that's ... a very thoroughly unpleasant image *shudders

That aside, since boinsie mentioned it a while ago I've been perusing some of her pb pictures online (FOR SCIENCE) and Mano's definitely one of the more, hmmm shall we say daring, members with the bikini pics poses among h!P members though that's doesn't really amount to much in comparison to other specialized gravure idols out there .
Her other pics that made up most of her pbs are usually just normally gorgeous and done in a pretty good taste imo

With that emoticon, I can't tell if you're serious or not, but in fact, it's extremely suggestive of Japanese bondage porn.

Yes, it is suggestive, but it's very very mild compared to what I've seen/read. There are worse valentine/christmas themed pics very recently with colorful ribbons that screams shibari wayyy louder.

For me it's like the difference between a bikini and lingerie. Both cover the same amount of skin but one has very very different connotations from the other.

It's up to Mano what she wants to be in her pb but it kinda makes me uncomfortable.

Bikini pictures in photobooks are meant to show off a girl's body, they might as well be lingerie shots. There is hardly a difference.

Bikinis are also what most girls wear to the beach, so one could make an argument for why they're okay (even though the shots may CLEARLY show the girl's body, for example, when they lie down and squeeze their boobs together). Bikinis may provide the sexy/innocent duality, where you can see their bodies but they're also just playfully splashing around in water, playing in the sand, etc. Whatever catches the interest of the fans, I guess.

A bra may be able to cover a girl up more than a bikini top, but it's considered to be not socially acceptable to wear a bra to the beach instead of a bikini top.

Yeah. But if Mano wanted to do a lingerie phtobook, or an artistic nude one, not that it will ever happen, but she's of age, and able to make these kinds of decisions for herself I think. of course there is always the question of whether or not she could just say "no" to the picture that is shocking some of us, but that we don't know for sure. if it is indeed her choice, i see no issue with it.
