(20 to 1 that it's Reina doing the backup vocals in most of the last 3 singles and that's why it sounds so high pitched)

We aren't talking (Contr)Alto low, but yes Haruna has a lower toned voice. When she sings Soprano her voice tends to thin out so it's a bit too high for her, plus you never hear her get high pitched or squeaky, her voice is flat, monotone and lower. I also stick Sakura in Mezzo-Soprano (For now) because from what I hear it sounds like that's where she's more comfortable. She doesn't sound comfortable in Soprano yet, though I think she could be one of those singers who could be either/or. Mezzo is also considered the most common Female vocal range, so it's pretty safe to assume most of the girls in MM are Mezzo and not full on Soprano.
I'm not sure anyone in Morning Musume would be Alto. Haruka and Kanon, maybe? I'd need to hear their low ranges, which is pretty rare in MM to hear.
EDIT: Oh here's a video of all of Haruna's solo lines

Her voice isn't high pitched or squeaky like Masaki's, Reina's, or Sayu's and when she tries to go higher than her range her voice thins considerably. I put her at lower toned, especially for an idol. Her voice would be weirdly out of place in, say, S/mileage.
