The episodes are only five minutes long, lol.

I now but it seems like there are 5426543593 million episodes even though there aren't AND the fans are scary.

THE FANS OMG. We sat in on a Hetalia panel while waiting for another panel at an anime convention (Though I don't watch much anime anymore, I really like going to conventions. I don't know why, they're really fun.) It was a Q&A of cosplayers pretending to be the Hetalia characters. None of the staff was there, or anyone who worked on it, just a bunch of cosplayers roleplaying. And the fans ATE IT UP. They were asking the stupidist questions about Italy and his favorite pasta, or having Italy and Germany taker sexy pictures together. Asking Russia and Poland to say they were friends now and hug. All of the cosplayers except for like 2 were women pretending to be male (As expected, Hetalia is a female driven fandom) but they were doing a horrible job of it. In character giggling and acting like girly girls.
I wanted to go up and ask what China and Japan felt about the Rape of Nanking, but that probably wouldn't have gone over well. BECAUSE WORLD WAR II WAS FUNNY YALL, HETALIA SAID SO

Ugh. I know how you feel.

Yeah... I tend to stay away from the fans. That's why I don't like saying I'm into Hetalia -- there's a bit of a stigma about it.

Don't worry, I don't do any of that stuff. Jokes about WWII (like, actually joking about it and truly being offensive) aren't cool, yo.

I try not to take Hetalia too seriously. I love it, but I understand that it's meant to be a comedy. It's a joke. The stereotypes aren't even true (well, some of them are, but you get the idea). People take it far too seriously I swear to god.

Please don't lump me with most Hetalia fans. I swear I'm not that bad!

You tweeting about it is what peaked my interest in the first place. I think you tweeting about some fans is also what gave my pause lol.

Whoops XD.

Also, I usually don't suggest this, but with Hetalia you should probably watch the English dub. The dialogue's a bit different than the original, but it's somehow funnier (to me). And this is coming from someone who generally hates dubs, lol.

Unless you get easily offended (which you probably don't, but just saying), then stick with the original. The dub has a few racist jokes thrown in there and everyone speaks with a rather stereotypical accent. Especially Japan, holy shit.

The 5th season starts in two weeks. I am so excited you guys don't even know.

It's "piqued".

I know boinsie is the only one who has explicitly asked for corrections like this and others may not take it as well, but it seemed like a big one.

Actually, speaking of which, please do point out any grammatical errors I make (that aren't on purpose). I don't like making mistakes, but sometimes I do because I tend to not think.

My friends and I set up an anime-sharing ftp server back in college so I got complete older series to marathon from there and cherry pick some titles from current season to download personally.
These days I can't stomach the generic shonen anime so I'm just sticking to comedy, blatant fanservice shows, or an obligatory tribute for a favorite seiyuu
I've only checked out Oreshura and Maoyuu this season .. let's see where that goes, but I'm dropping it as soon as the leads turn insufferable.
