this is generally a pretty subdued show though, i think they did okay considering they're a group of middle school guests and newbs (except Sayu & Reina of course) who aren't often invited to shows and so don't have as much of a repertoire to gain a relaxed aloof style of handling these type of appearances. unlike say KuroBara, where the environment, activities, and variety of guests to interract with puts them in a position to try to push for more. having a polite conversation with a very famous, very laid back host is not the best for that. maybe they should have picked a more shocking topic or included more gossip-inducing rules to help along with that.

oh also cuz it was inquired a while back, the last time they appeared it was mostly for 10 My Me, though i think they did also mention their latest single at the time. i remember the outfits and Gaki looking like it was the morning after her first ever hangover.

I've seen that show without MM before and it's pretty subdued. The host is really relaxed and everyone talks kind of quiet and it's not really one of those AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH WE MUST BE LOUD kinda shows.

I'm gonna say this as unbiased as possible - I'm so glad Haruna is there. She's the most talkative of the new girls and ALWAYS has something to say. God damn, she acts like Sayu and Reina already.

Ayumi is getting better, she needs to come out of her shell a little more though if, if the fans are correct, she's going to be an ace. YOU TOO RIHO.

i must have picked up the rare interesting episodes then because i've had laughs with waratte iitomo... but yeah, it's the guests that makes it fun. Tamori-san is Tamori-san after all.

For what it's worth, 新生 (shinsei) specifically means "reborn" [1], not just "new".

And it does seem to be getting picked up as a theme by the media.

A good review of the single, as well — 4.3 out of 5.0. The best of the lot for that issue.

[1] It can almost mean "newborn", but that's obviously not the case with MM.

Morning Musume rules.

1. One must always greet Sayu with "Good morning, you look so cute today Michishige-san"
- Is a new rule initiated by Michishige
- Ayumi says no one really follows this rule
2. When meeting together for any reason, the kouhai must be there at least 30 minutes before the senpai
- Old rule that Reina says no one really follows anymore, but it was something the 6ki had to follow
- Sayu says there were certain senpai that were really scary at the time that were strict about this rule
3. After a concert, you must take off your make up before you can go home.
- Iikubo says this is a new rule for the 9+10th gen members only for skin health reasons.
4. If two girls have the same hair style, the kouhai must change it without complaints.
5. You must turn in your report card to your manager
- This rule still exists
- Reina says one of the most important rules is you must be able to handle school and work together (i.e. cannot neglect one)
- Sayu says you get a heavy scolding if you get bad grades or "come close to getting all F's"
- Sayu says this never happened to her before but then she looks over to Reina
