The fact that EE Jump wasn't in H!P isn't really a problem. I mean, Gjinzhghizshzh Khan, Pepper Keibu, right? Or an even better example, Watarasebashi, which was originally covered by the (eventually) Up-Front but non H!P Chisato Moritaka. So EE Jump's pedigree isn't the issue, IMO.
As I see it the real impediment to that happening is that remakes usually have some kind of nostalgic draw to them. But except maybe for Ottototto Natsu da ze!, EE Jump's music wasn't all that popular the first time around, and now it's just dated pop music with a slightly unpleasant association with a criminal.
