Today at ANGERME's concert tour performance in Tokyo, Leader Kamikokuryo Moe announced :

ANGERME's next new leader will be Ise Layla, and the new sub-leader will be Tamenaga Shion (over her senior Hashisako Rin). There is no sub-leader currently. Congrats to the both of them!

I’m actually really happy with these results, I started following Anju when 9ki joined and I could tell right away from looking at Shion that she had leadership potential.

Layla deserves this and she earned it, she's a queen and a star. I know she'll do very well as a leader, I hope she continues to shine. For me it was obvious because after Akari departure she started to get insane push.
On the other hand, I don’t agree with Shion's appointment as sub-leader. Her performance has plummeted since she joined the group (she struggles to hit the notes constantly; she's the Maria Makino of Anju), and she's one of the least popular in all of HP. In the Wotas year-end rankings, she's always been at the bottom of whole HP, even surpassed by that Anju dead weight named Yukiho. I'd prefer either of the two Rins, who are pillars of the group in terms of voice, dance, and looks; they're more memorable examples for kouhai to follow than Shion.

Announced today, Juice=Juice, Tsubaki Factory, BEYOOOOONDS, OCHA NORMA, and Rosy Chronicle are all invited to perform at TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL 2025 from August 1st~3rd.
