[11/12] Berryz Kobo 36th single - Romance wo Katatte / Towa no Uta (61k first day sales)

Romance wo Katatte is growing on me. Towa no Uta is a pretty decent song.

Hoping for good PVs.

If we got something like Bye Bye Mata ne, none of us would be emotionally stable.

I was kidding hoping that they'd make a single version of Bye Bye Mata ne or their final single or album. I'm kind of hoping this happens on their final album, if we're lucky enough for one.

I was thinking more of Futsuu being a good final single than Ai wa Itsumo. It was a song that really celebrated all the years the girls spent in the group. Towa no Uta isn't so bad. Neither song is mind blowing though. The PVs could change how I feel about the single, but for the most part the single feels lackluster.

A month from now and you'll all be crying when they release the PV for this single and you get emotional and it'll grow on you and you'll love it. or maybe that's just me.

I guess I'm the only one who likes Romance wo Katatte?

But come on guys, this is Berryz's last single until their hiatus, of course there is going to be slow, somewhat emotional songs, not kickass, epic, explosive songs. This is H!P, where they like to make things emotional 80% of the time. Examples: Mikaeri Bijin, Romance wo Katatte.

I really like this single though. Like, Romance wo Katatte, really makes me happy, and it's an appropriate goodbye in my opinion. Plus I like the old school Hello! Project/Christmas vibe. Plus the bridge, after the song starts off slow, like "let's hype you up a bit so you don't get TOO emotional". I don't know, it just gives me beautiful, positive vibes, like, this is the group that changed my life entirely (for the better) and now, after 10 years of activity, they're finally moving on.

I don't know what to say about Towa no Uta, since I haven't heard an audio version yet.

You're not the only one! But hey, I'm a sucker for Christmas-y songs

Yep, pretty much. But then again that's only because this is the final single. No matter what the final single is, once it's released, we'll all be crying. xD

(Also, I know this is high hopes, but I hope the MV's have extended cuts. But, not like Mikaeri Bijin-type, I mean like Shoppai ne-type. Like, in the middle of the MV. xD)

Towa no Uta reminds me a bit of Icchome Rock.

IF there is a Berryz album, I hope one of the songs has a chorus that ends with some held note that tests the girls' singing abilities. (such as aisaretai or Date Janai's "Muda ni shinaaaaaaaaaaai")

Other than that, listening again, the songs are really nice... Just not amazing, is my point. (You'd expect something breathtaking for a final single, but if you think of it in Tsunku's mind, he might just want to end Berryz on a Berryz-tacular note, not a spectacular note, if that makes any sense to people. )
