Mano Erina comments on recent S/mileage news
Mano Erina wrote a few tweets about the recent announcement to change S/mileage’s name and add new members from the kenshuusei program. As always, feel free to correct my translation.
(1) It’s been a while since I saw Haro!Sute. S/mileage is S/mileage, right? I think when 2nd gen members joined, the original members were perplexed, but properly accepted them. Ayacho, Kanon and the fans realized that those 4 kept giving it their all. I feel like everyone overcame a lot of things to get to this point.
(2) However. This addition and name change is casual, so I don’t think there was a failed conflict on this decision. [not sure if she made typo on the word failure? I took しいっぱい as しっぱい] Ayacho and Kanon must have made this decision because they have a lot of love for “S/mileage”. I don’t know their standpoint, but I can say they’ve become adults. I can’t meet them as often, but I’m cheering for them in a different way. ^^
(3) [This tweet was made a few minutes after the first two.] I’ve contemplated a lot about S/mileage. Around the time I debuted, they followed me as backdancers, at events and stuff they got fired up, and they supported me. In those days I had complicated feelings and I didn’t really talk to those girls too much, but now I’m very thankful and I’m rooting for them.
