Berryz Koubou have gone on indefinite hiatus as of 3/3

Because I am a C-ute fan too. I'm not just berryz. I like every H!P group.
but like, if they stay as the "H!P kids", it will leave an aura around it. So if they "disband", at least it might leave the aura with it. idk. And then they could reform outside of h!p if they wanted to. It seems like a thing that would happen if they stayed in H!P, there would be a "berryz" mist around them.

and also, as for the 2nd quote you quoted me on, if anything that's a totally berryz-sided thing, saying i don't want the other H!P kids group to pass Berryz...

H!P Kids is just a shared experience from the past, helpful for bringing out the nostalgia and all, like promoting their anniversary. But they've grown into different groups, probably some sort of friendly rivals through all these years, so it's not necessarily the case that if Berryz goes then C-ute goes as well.

I think it's fine for C-ute to eventually surpass Berryz in terms of how many years they've been around even if you're a big Berryz fan. I mean, in MM several girls got to hold the record for their time in the group.

Sorry don't really understand your reasoning. If you like a group, 1, you want the group to continue. 2. you want the girls to be happy.
You said it yourself this is a very sad news(berryz to stop activity). Then how come you want another group to stop activity as well if you really like that group(c-ute in this case).
Berryz talked about their future for a year then they reached this decision because they want to head to different directions. It's different for C-ute. C-ute are more clinged to the group and more passionate in performing(singing/dancing). So at least for now, I'm pretty sure the girls want to continue to perform as c-ute.
I think you just favor berryz more and it's fine. But c-ute fans will wish c-ute to continue as a group for a longer time.

Obviously I favor berryz more. They are my favorite group.

It's not that I want C-ute to stop activities, it's just that I feel that if they continue as is after berryz, it will just have a weird feeling around it. but i could obviously be wrong. Or maybe it is just me. idk.

Another thing to consider: what happens to the wota?
Berryz Kobo have enough fans to reliably push between 20.000 and 50.000 physical CD's every release.
DD and MD's excluded.

A certain percentage will quit following idols altogether. That always happens with every graduation of any idol.

But the rest?

Will they....

...jump in the familiar arms of °C-ute?
...move over to Juice=Juice, Morning Musume or S/mileage?
...get enamoured with the new Country Musume, Morning Musume 12th gen or a possible new H!P unit?
...start backing Trainees in the hope their bet pays off?
...switch to non-UF-idols (AKB48, Momoiro Clover Z, LinQ, Afilia Saga, Rev.from DVL,...)?

It's going to be interesting to see how this all develops.

Mentioned above, I think Berryz coming to America for a goodbye concert ties in to how well Morning Musume are received when they come. They break even or make a profit with this concert then I can see it happening. I'd LOVE to see it happen as well but chances are rather slim I think.
