Re: [9/4] ℃-ute 8th album - ⑧ Queen of J-POP

Getting a whole concert + original album (which includes many good A-sides).... for that price is ridiculously cheap. It's not like the packaging for concert DVDs are that ~amazing~ or outstanding anyway lol. I might even consider this (though I probably shouldn't) and I don't really buy albums and def not DVDs, but this is a great marketing strategy and I really hope they keep it up for other groups too.

i see where mixi is coming from though, if you're paying 6k yen for an album you want cool extra things and 99% of the time you would but H!P is just shit when it comes to physical releases. i feel like i'm always bitching about this but it's seriously so frustrating. i mean including photo/trading cards with your cds is "IDOL 101" and H!P doesn't even do that anymore...except with their CD only albums...

anyway cdjapan lists the weight of Ver A as 200g which is just a standard jewel case. things can change but i wouldn't get your hopes up.

...a full 2hr concert isn't considered an "extra thing"?

I wouldn't doubt this being a DVD attached in a CD + DVD case.
I mean we all know how cheap H!P's packaging is. (And I say that with love)

I understand the 6k price mark. Concert DVDs aren't necessarily cheap to begin with anyways :hehe:

I don't get the complaining: instead of a dance shot or alternate MV you're getting a FULL CONCERT at a reduced cost and a full album.
There is no downside to this. It's the biggest bonus that has been attached to a H!P album in years (discounting the rehearsal access ticket in 13 Colorful Character, which if you lived overseas wasn't much good to you anyway).

Quit yer bitching.

coming with a 2 hour concert is amazing but that doesn't mean i have to accept H!P always going below industry standards in other areas. had a non H!P group released this same thing it would have came with some, if not all of the above things mentioned without question.

But attaching a concert to a CD isn't industry standard. That's why it's usually reserved for first presses. By attaching a concert DVD, UF* is already going above industry standards. And considering it's a full concert and not select performances from a concert like a lot of other releases get, that's in it of itself really great .

If we really want to talk about industry standards I'd complain more about how DVDs usually only get one music video with a gajillion solo/dance shots. I'd rather have all of the relevant music videos instead+making of's.

Even Avex can release a CD+DVD+Concert+photobook (sometimes with multiple CDs, and a box) for a lower price. I own a few, I didn't pay 6k yen for any of them. When they do this, the full concert, which is exclusive to the release, is treated like any another DVD, so it only costs 1000yen more than the regular CD+DVD. This album costs 6300yen but it's just a CD+DVD, and the DVD just happens to be a concert. It doesn't feel like all that much like a "discount".

The fact that UFP is trying something new for them doesn't make a 6kyen release without bonuses any cheaper.

There are artists who officially releases an album with full tracks and 2 hours concert footage for less than 4000yen ?
Sounds like a bargain, link me please. Even if I don't care for the artist I'm sure I can find someone willing to take it off my hand lol
