I'm hoping one of y'all can help me with something, since there are a lot of you that are way smarter about this kind of thing than I am.

On my computer, my tags for Juice=Juice#2 -¡Una más!- look like this. All nice and proper!:

Put them on my phone, they look like this. Weird!:

I even tried a different music player, and they still show up like that. And it's only with songs from that album, cause the rest of my Japanese tags are fine.
While I'm at it,
어디야? by 씨엘씨 shows up as
???? by ??? on my phone. And again it's only with that song/album. The rest of the Korean tags are fine.

If I had to guess, I'd say that the tags are probably in some coding like Shift-JIS instead of UTF-8. And that your phone can't read that other coding but your computer can. If it's just that one album, then you can probably just use Mp3tag to fix it. I don't know whether this will work but try going to "Tools | Options | Tags | Mpeg | Write" -> make sure ID3v2.4 UTF-8 is checked. Then go back to the main menu, load up the album, make a small change to each Title, like adding a dash to it, and save. Then remove the dash from each Title. Save again. Hopefully that will force the titles to be in UTF-8 format. Then see if they will display properly in your phone.
The other option is there's apparently an add-on to Foobar 2000 called "chacon" that will update the coding the tags use, in bulk. Probably overkill for such a small job, but here's a link:

Dude, I could hug you.

Worked like a charm for those J=J tags.
The Korean is still showing up as question marks, buuut I don't even listen to the song that much, so I don't really care about it at this point.

I read that, and immediately thought,
that's OK - so much of life shows up as question marks.
And very often, we don't listen that much, and don't really care about it.

My recent experience with life has been a long series of interrobangs.

I
do wish I could respond to certain things irl with "????"

I've been to only two places this week and I'm pretty sure I have the stomach flu now.

Kinda wish my body would give me a break!

I keep watching/reading anime/manga that are dark/tragic and then getting upset... I love super heavy stories but they do tend to hurt.
Can't believe I got emotional over a series about a guy who's a mafia pet/former child prostitute and his ambiguously gay relationship with a Japanese man. But this is my life, I guess!
PS Banana Fish is a good series

I think that's one of the reasons why I go through long phases when I don't read fiction or watch movies/anime/etc. It isn't that I don't like it, because there is so much that I
do like, but i have a strong tendency to get far too emotionally and mentally caught up in the stories and characters (even the lightweight, happy stuff).
So I try to balance my chronically erratic brain chemistry out by watching high-sugar-content Jpop idol shows and reading about ancient history and archaeology.

for 40,000 posts, I saved my "1337" thanks to boinsie for being the nicest person on this forum, but I got this weird message.

If, instead of hitting the "thanks" button once, you inadvertently press "thanks" twice in rapid succession, the second thanks will register as "invalid" because you can't thank a post you've already thanked, unless you unthank then rethank.
