well, I wouldn't say "many", just Asuka and Maki I think? Sayaka too? That's about it. But yeah. Definitely. I'm getting really used to them now. 10th gen.. is another deal, but they've only been here 6 months so.

I just hope they do like they did with 10th gen and have an older girl among them. Also I'm sad Aika had to go because it went like.. Reina - 22, Aika - 19, Haruna - 17 ... now it's just Reina - Haruna. Which is more jarring.

And they top the age at 17, so my hopes of getting someone 19 in are void. Too bad.

Guess I was thinking 2~3 years, which would pretty much include Aya, Yuuko, Asuka, Sayaka, Maki... Somehow it feels as though there should be more, but I guess not. Seems like 4 years is the average time people spend in the group.

...I just might have to look it up now.

Cuca's message about not being eligible

みんながCUCAのこと「11期ぼしゅうがあるよ」って、おうえんや心配してくれて、とてもうれしいです。
コメントに書いてくれている方もいますが、そのとおり、CUCAにはおうぼしかくがありません。
私は４月28日生まれです。４月１日に10才になってないといけないからです。

きのう、オーディションの事を知って、「やっと受けれる！」と思ってうれしかったけど、そのあとで10才でも受けれないんだってわかって、ショックでした。

でも、CUCAはそんなことではあきらめません。

Like I've been saying, I think it's better if Cuca tries when most girls get in (12-13 years old). If this tradition of one audition a year is really picking up again, it's feasible for her to be in the 12th or 13th gen.

On Karin, I think she can sing and she can act well enough, if she must get in, I'd like her to be the youngest that gets in. Her being 13, she can blend with the younger girls in 9th and 10th gen, but the group is desperate for 16 - 17 year olds. DESPERATE. I usually say I want older girls in (I have since 8th Gen auditions) so maybe my opinion on this isn't worth a damn, but Morning Musume needs older girls for older teenage girls and women in their early 20's to relate to. With Sayumi and Reina on very borrowed time (Though I hope both of them have at least a year, hopefully two) pretty soon MM is going to rely on Haruna to bring them in. I really hope Tsunku realizes that MM has always had a varying age range and that's part of the appeal, everyone at 12-15 just isn't as appealing. It's a smart business move to add some older girls who are talented.
