^this. Validity plezzze.

That being said - I'm jumping on the Yurina is the worst singer band wagon. She's just so beautiful she still gets front push. Not that Chinami and Maasa aren't, because they are, but Yurina could actually get into modeling. Height and all.

Chinami is my second favorite girl in H!P. But nope, Maasa and her are not better singers than Yurina, absolutely not. You can dislike the sound of Yurina's voice, but her voice isn't chipmunk-weak like Chinami's or painfully out of control like Maasa's.

How didn't she? She made a long ass blog post about how upset she was that they weren't progressing like C-ute then appeared on Hello Station complaining about the same thing again. How is that not a trantrum? She was going so far as to criticise herself, and her group, then appointed Miya as sub-leader to make it into a bigger deal.

I think Yurina is a great singer. She has front girl material, but is too tall to be standing at the front most of the time which is why she probably gets shafted to the back a lot lol.

It doesn't matter if I like or don't like the Momochi character. I was only speculating if the type of character that Momoko is playing is hurting BK.

I can't even process how horrendous this idea is.

So basically you're agreeing that Yurina is a horrible singer, but yeah, let's just let her keep ruining EVERY SONG. K.

A couple of years ago we couldn't imagine replacing Morning Musume with a bunch of newbs.

No. I hate Yurina's singing. But she's been in the group for an entire decade. Changing the lineup now would be ridiculous. Just make a new group. Morning Musume is all about change. Berryz isn't. You can't plaster another groups identity on Berryz just bc you feel some members aren't as strong as others.

It's exposure, Berryz Koubou exists whenever Momochi appears on TV. The other girls need to step their game up - having Miyabi or Chinami is always fun to see, for example.

lol Miya's so gorgeous, so I am going to pardon the fact that this vid is a lil boring solely based on her beauty   Also because its the first one in a while, so they probably just need to get back into the practice of always being "on".

The Chii x Miya combo is usually really entertaining lol, like when they were shopping in Hawaii and acting goofy with handbags lol Maybe they gave Chii these videos to make up for taking away her twitter? lol idk.

Is there a translation of this somewhere that I could read? And did this happen before or after the Budoukan announcement? Maybe Tsunku's scolding caused her to reflect?

Tantrum to me implies entitlement without work, like complaining because you feel entitled to more without putting in the effort. "Why can't I have a pony too? What do you mean I have to save up for it and buy it myself!?!??!!?" and etcetc. From your summary, it could just be legitimate disappointment. To be honest, when Captain was the only one who cried after the Budoukan announcement, it further sunk in the realization to me that she is the one who really cares about the progress of Berryz, while the other girls are semi-complacent (save for Momo) with where they're at right now. If she had thrown a "tantrum," and then gotten what she wanted, she would've looked smug as shit at the announcement. Berryz is stagnant, and if anything her disappointment shows that she can see it too.

But (as per your description) her complaints could stem not from entitlement to success, but from her disappointment not only in herself recently, but also with her group's progress. Like she feels that she's let not only herself down in pursuit of her goals (hence the self-criticism), but also her group members and the fans. And then she recognized that she would need help in attaining a higher standard for Berryz, hence the appointment of Miya. It's not a tantrum imo, but a reflection on how things are going wrong for Berryz and how she wants to do better. And she wants to try and create a Berryz worthy of that same level of success as The C-uticles. Tsunku and Co. probably threw in the Budoukan announcement early, because they feel the same disappointment Captain does, and scheduled the concert to give the girls that kick in the pants they need. This, along with Miya as sub-captain, could be that "help" that the girls need to do better, if it happens to succeed. It certainly allows for more accountability on Miya's shoulders for them to do better, instead of Cap'n bearing the sole burden.

Have you literally never seen a tantrum? Your criticizing MomoClo has more vitriol than her blog post lol.

Tsunku likes that though. I was listening to Golden Chinatown with my head phones and noticed that she did those vocalizationy parts in the song.
