I'm probably wrong again.
I thought it was Smile + Mileage = S/mileage.
Any name is better than S/mileage. Whenever I see or heard that name I envisioned a plumber working
under a sink.

The group has really improved and the new name can only help.

"an-jur-moo... an-jur-moo... an-jur-moo...."

No, you're right. It
was Smile + Mileage. That's the problem, is what I'm saying. Smile + Mileage wasn't a meaningful portmanteau. It's smile + some pointless, random word that shared letters with "smile." Unlike, say, Angerme where it's Angel + Tear(s of Joy), and both sides of the portmanteau are relevant to the image of the group.
Unless, mebbe the old name was supposed to mean something like Smile + we tour for miles and miles. Or Smile + legs that are a mile long. Or, Smile + we get a lot of mileage out of our irrepressible cuteness. But as far as I know, none of those explanations were proffered for "mileage," so it never made sense to me. Not that I cared that much either way; I'm only even bringing it up because it's a fait accompli, and I'm slightly bored.

ANGERME has four syllables. S/mileage had six. Why weren't you guys complaining before, don't get it.

I should be complaining more that Sasaki Rikako was picked to be in this group.

I envision a car with a giant happy face on it...
BECAUSE WE ALL SAID "SMILEAGE" NOT SUMAIREJI. xD So that's still 3 syllables.

(i'm pretty sure anway)

Once they start showing up at places, introducing themselves, and we hear the name enough you'll all get used to it before you know it.
That's always how it goes. :b

Lol why would you be complaining that actual talent came in the group?
(no shade to the other girls...)
