We've gotten quite used to Maria taking over the main gravure role in the group (and well deserved).
But every year or so Mizuki pops out a magazine shoot or photobook to remind everyone that in another reality she could have had a career on par with Shinozaki Ai.

Morning Musume. Leader Fukumura Mizuki is releasing a photobook on January 2nd, the day she joined Morning Musume, to celebrate her 11th anniversary!

For the first time in about two years, she traveled to Ie Island in Okinawa Prefecture for a summer vacation-style location shoot.

Taking the ferry to Ie Island and feeling the sea breeze as it crosses the island, from ennui loungewear in the morning sun, wearing Kariyushi clothes while playing with cats in an old house, cute clothes and her favorite smoothie at the cafe, a swimsuit in the ocean with the sound of corals hitting the waves, barefoot on the beach at sunset and a pink dress in the member's color, the expressions and various costumes that shine in each scene are a must-see!

Kitagawa commented on the release of her second photobook, "I am honestly very, very happy." She recalled that she was so impressed by the beauty of the sea she visited during the photoshoot that she thought it looked like the default settings of a smartphone, and cheerfully talked about how she enjoyed the photo shoot in Okinawa, tucking into delicious foods such as soki soba and sata andagi. As her favorite cut, she mentioned the photo of herself staring at the sunset on the beach, saying "I often get compliments on my profile from my fans, and I like my profile the best. And the sunset I saw at that time was so beautiful. It was my favorite shot because it was taken only a few minutes before the sunset."

She also said that she felt more relaxed in the photo shoot this time than she did in her first photobook "First Time". "I think I got used to being photographed more than before, and I was able to take a lot of photos with natural expressions. I think that's where I've grown since the last one," she said with a smile.

Kitagawa is currently in her third year of high school. In the photobook, she wears two kinds of uniforms, one for summer and the other for winter, and the host asked, "Do you have any unfinished business in your high school life?" Kitagawa, who joined the group in the summer of her first year of high school, answered with deep emotion, "I've devoted my whole high school life to Morning Musume activities, and I've had many experiences that ordinary high school students probably wouldn't have had. On the other hand, she said that she still had a strong yearning for school field trips. "I'd like to go on a school trip even now for some kind of TV program or something," she said with a smile.

The host then asked about the other 15th gen members, Okamura Homare and Yamazaki Mei, "Are you looking forward to showing this photobook to them?" "I'm a little embarrassed, but they've both said they want to see it, so I'd be happy if they look at it," she replied in a very shy whisper.

Kitagawa said, "This book is more intense than the last one for me. It's a book full of my expressions and beautiful scenery, so I think it's worth seeing. I hope you will love it a lot."
