Sayashi Riho to Graduate from Morning Musume。'15 on 12/31

Fat chance for her getting a H!PS trophy now. I told you it's hard to do. She will have to do it outside Morning Musume now.

Oh well, there's more to Life than Morning Musume as the other OG's have shown. Riho had a good run and I will truly miss her in Morning Musume.

The H!PS title is a tool. Sometimes it is an acknowledgement of one girl being very popular with the fans, other times it is used to try to get a girl to the next level. Just like many professional wrestlers were such draws based on their personality (Andre the Giant, Rowdy Roddy Piper) that they never needed a belt, Riho is someone who didn't need the H!PS title to be a draw.

I did not think Riho would be the first of the new gens to go. However, somehow I am not surprised.

I really hope she does a solo career rather than a new group.

And she wont be for Morning Mususme 60th single?!(

I mean, they potentially could rush out a 60th... Release One & Only as a single w/a Riho solo as a B-side.

And maybe the new concert song to make it a double single? Riho Solo would be nice.
I don't December is unreasonable for a single. I think they might wait to announce it until Kanon's last single is released on 11/11

As I recall, in several of her Pocket Morning answers, Riho has said things about wanting to get rid of her "bocchi" role. She always sounds like she's half joking, but she's said it often enough to suggest that there's some truth in it. Whether the role of loner is one that was handed to her by H!P Central Casting or one that she just fell into, I can see how she might come to really, really dislike it, if it's not a role that she chose. So maybe discontent at being stuck in the bocchi role is at least a contributing factor.

I always liked Riho, and I'm sad to see her go. I've never liked the whole "ace" concept -- it just seems like more showbiz hype, no matter who it's applied to (remember - Morning Musume started out as a pack of deuces, and that was always a point of pride), but I think that she brought a lot to the group with her singing and dancing, and also with her personality (which always struck me as being likeable and charming, even with her kind of smirky-looking smile ).

And because in the world of H!P fandom, it's never too early to speculate -- I wonder if we're going to see a 13th gen audition announcement soon. I kind of think we will...

Without Riho, MM wouldn't be what it is today. She hasn't improved much this year (rather the opposite) so I can understand why she seeks new, stimulating experiences. I'm glad she's staying in H!P. I hope she'll become the leader of dance club or of a new dance group. It's a new beginning.

Ok all jokes aside I'm shocked but then again I'm really not? It's always the quiet ones where you know something is up but you don't really want to speculate. Irespect her departure as an artist and I feel like 17/18/19 is a crucial age as a young adult because you start to have an idea of the direction you might want to start to take in life, and this is going to impact her in a major way.Honestly I've enjoyed her prescence dance wise (The Moonlight Night performance during her first tour was stellar); but at times her singing was just so unbearable to me. I'm glad to see she'll be in H!P though.
