S/mileage's new name is ANGERME, 3rd gen members announced

Angerme/S/mileage, the group that everyone will never accept when changes are made... I wonder if everyone'll get used to it rather quickly or we'll get complaints for a long time like with 1st Gen halfing and adding 2nd Gen had. .

First reactions to all of these: "what a terrible, weird, awful, etc.. name".
Two weeks to a month later: loudmouths have gone back to sleep and nobody cares.

Life goes on. At least until the next new name.

I'm fine with the name... It looks kinda strange but at least it's not lazy or anything.

I mean, we could've had some weird combination of member names (hi Amerika lol), something that's one or two syllables or letters (Aa!, ZYX, etc), etc. And at least it doesn't have symbols that people are too lazy to write (℃-ute) or the romanisation isn't questioned (v-u-den).

If we're talking weird idol group names: BELLRING Shoujo Heart, bump.y (which is a fucking acronym that stands for the members' attributes), DIANNA☆SWEET, Dorothy Little Happy, Kus Kus, Party Rockets, Cheeky Parade, Afilia Saga, Takoyaki Rainbow, Shiritsu Ebisu Chuugaku, Tsuri Bit, Baby Raids, Yumemiru Adolescence, Seishun! Tropical Maru... The list is endless.

Weird idol group names have been around since the 80s so to me it doesn't seem that strange I dunno.

From what I could gather from H!S:
-The tears are meant to be happy tears. So basically an angel crying tears of joy and not sadness.
-The angel invokes an image of hope. The name seems to be about having hopes and dreams, and that when you achieve them, you cry tears of joy.
-Kana wants the members of ANGERME (the angels) to work together to achieve their goals, and once they reach them, be overcome with happiness and cry.

Okay listen here fucker. When I was posting those things there were conflicting reports on the spelling. Some people said アンジュルム, some said アンジェルム.

Don't get all angry at me just because I pointed out you made a couple of mistakes. I mean, when you made the thread you had it as Angeme. Which is, y'know, entirely wrong. Ever heard of proofreading? Also, not my fault you can't romanise things properly sometimes.
