^That's a johnnies group though that's a whole other animal.

Kanjani8 still have one hell of a group feeling, too. Berryz definitely doesn't have it as much.

On another perspective, being consistent means that Berryz still maintain their fanbase all this years. How many idol groups can do that? What they lack in is capturing new fans. I think, from their activites for the last 2 years, management seemed to have planned on capturing overseas fans, like Thailand and the US, instead of local fans.

Yeah but it's still a little worrying to see Morning Musume and C-ute reach new peaks of popularity and have Berryz be stagnant.

To be fair Momusu and C-ute are considerably more mainstream in looks and sound right now, it's not really surprising to see them expand a bit beyond the wotaverse.

How do you explain Momoclo then? Who are pretty much Berryz on acid X 10

Berryz could have easily went that route but as has been said 1928167+6919*8 times, they just don't want it bad enough.

I don't think it has anything to do with wanting it bad enough, Berryz'z success was never really taken advantage of. UF* just let all that momentum die. I think if they got a big promotional push they'd definitely step up.
