Seriously, what's up with the lackluster minimalistic arrangement for Berryz lately

This so much. Empty instrumentals =/= "cool, mature", UFA.

That being said and while definitely a bit on the weak side, I already like it better than WANTO! Cerebration. Man, it's been a quite a while since cha cha SING I want to be blown away by a Berryz single on first listen again. Let's hope the other a-side is a bit more memorable. Tsunku, how on Earth do you manage to botch songs titled "Asian Celebration" and "Golden Chinatown"? HOW? And they being Berryz singles no less.

I like this song, and I usually dislike Berryz. The song feels like a continuation of Asian Celebration? Tsunku is making them into a funky disco group.

The second half of the song went on too long - they really should have cut one of the verses. Aside from that, what's with giving Risako and Miyabi the back? Sure they get the chorus too but still. Granted those "Icchaina" "yacchaina" lines are what I remember, despite just having seen the performance, but still. Not liking the lack of those two.
I don't mind their even line distribution that Berryz usually have, but this... too much poor vocals.

Aside from that, I like the instrumental. It'll probably grow to me, but it's not as funky as Asian Celebration unfortunately. ):

Oh well, after my negative-ish first impression I'm liking this more after each listen It's no instant-hit but definitely well above their previous two singles for me. Sadly they're bound to be all "cool and serious" for the PV, but it still might be fun.

Not really? Especially lately he's doing it really well. Kimi sae goes on long but it works because of the type of song it is. This was just boring though.
