It is very hard to put Tsunku music into any specific genre because you can't! But Yuugure is definitely more pop than EDM. It has platinum era pop feel as the base, but the synthesizer used are more EDM rather than closer to real instruments. Seishun Kozou on the other hand is more EDM with a lot of dubstep.
In any case, I really like this single. I think it is one of the strongest single of the new MM so far. You have 3 greats music of different genre that can please different fan groups, a great MV tie-in with a TV competition, and a popular anime tie-in. And 12gen is super cute. Awww.

I for one welcome the return of pop music for Morning Musume. Yuugure is totally reminscent of SYO.. (which is my fav platinum era song)
since we are getting double/triple A sides everyone can be happy. EDM, POP etc. btw i need the full song NOW

This is a solid release, has a little bit of everything, so it can cater different tastes.
My favorite is still seishun (by far the best song imho), but the rest are no slouch. I want the PVs, now!

Seishun is still the best, I agree.

...and it took me a while to realize "SYO" = "Shouganai Yume Oibito" xD

Maachan "playing the piano" for the Yuugure dance has made my night. I definitely like this song the most. I think it's currently Yuugare > Seishun > Ima Koko Kara, which none of them very far apart in difference.

I'm... not really feeling Yuugure, but I think I'll wait for the MV.
I appreciate Masaki's talent but tbh I'm not really a fan of her so eh. The piano parts were cool, though.
I'm kinda sad we didn't get a 12th gen-centred song, but at the same time they already fit into the group perfectly, so it works.

I like Yuugure a lot. I don't actually like the part in the choreography where Masaki's playing the piano because it looks like she's just banging on the keys with awkward fingers when it's actually supposed to be soft and gentle. Also, moving her hand horizontally back and forth is weird because, as you can see from the piano bits in the video in the back, the keys are actually close enough to one another so it all looks too exaggerated to me. Anyway, it was just a few seconds so whatever.

I love the dance too.

The dance looks like an interpretive/modern dance influent formation dance, so why not? I meant the piano part. I think this is very a good choreograph. You can feel the rain from their movements. Their expressions are also good. And Maachan is a plus for me. Hahaha. I cannot wait for the MV. Ugh.

I am really loving the sound of Yuugure. It's definitely very Platinum-esque updated. And maybe it was just the straight-on camera, and the fact that this is probably one of their first times performing it, but I'm not feeling the dance just yet. From this POV in Harosute, it just looked kind of messy. But with time I'm sure it'll get better.
Overall this single feels very midtempo though. There isn't anything with the same level of intensity as What is Love, Kimi no kawari, Brainstorming, or Joke (which is something I would like to see from '15). Maybe next single lol.

cross-posting my impressions from the TV thread:
The Yuugure performance was very, very good! tbh I didn't care much about the song previously, now I got to like it, a lot!
And the dance is beautiful! The way the moves flow into each other, sub groups of members doing different moves that work well together, the outfits that help the dance look even better, the dance break... It was perfect for this sort of song.
Really solid single, there is a bit for everyone here.
