Hello! Project Photobooks

I have no problem with photoshop, it's when they make all the pictures too bright or 'smudged' that I don't like it. When the pictures are to bright or to washed out that you can't see any details in their face what's the point? May as well be a cartoon.

Sayaka Akimoto is the most beautiful member imo. Ever since I first saw the 2009 member photo's she stood out. She is admitable not cute in the Japanese sense but she has this innocence that girls like Yuki can't ever capture.

Back on topic (again lol) I think Sayu's PB have been quite good in the artistic sense. Especially the last one. I wish H!P PB would do more studio photo's and more photo's in the city.

Actually there was an actress who did a Photobook in NYC that was amazing where she went clubbing and hung out in the park and stuff, I'd love H!P to do a pb like that.

On topic, one of the things I really do miss from the golden era was the frequency and quality of the photo books. The ones now don't seem as, iuno, artistic or something.

I first followed MM right around the golden era's end (04-05) and I didn't retroactively search out the older photobooks thoroughly, except maybe Rika's, but none of them strikes me as particularly artistic in comparison with recent ones. Recommendations please ?

For my part, MM members photobooks always seem pretty beautiful and in good enough taste, aside from the age issues of the featured members for some, to stand on its own separate category from the run-of-the-mill gravures

What about Yasuda Kei and her first photobook being low budget?

I can't imagine how a photobook can be low budget Do you have any examples from her PB.

Iirc she said in a variety show before that it was shot in a cheap apartment building in the city while most other girls got to go overseas or at least Okinawa
Like I said though, not very familiar with the older photobooks so not sure if it's really true or not lol
