Re: [5/26] Tsubaki Factory's 2nd Album "2nd STEP"

Yeah, they almost seem like an afterthought imo. The upside to this is that they're actually some of the least terrible covers I've seen in H!P, lol.

The regular cover makes me think of something one would make in Clip Studio.

*shrug* I like them. And flat colors and line art are the current trend in graphic design. At work, we’re in the middle of overhauling our UI/UX, documentation, and marcomm style guides to reflect that.

I really like the colors they have for this album. Here's hoping the songs are at least as nice.

Something about the Regular cover reminds me of VHS covers, it's prodding at a very specific nostalgia spot in my brain.

details about the new album songs

<Introduction to the 6 new songs that will be included in this album for the first time>

2. "Masayume"

This is a fast and furious funky tune by the writers of "Konya Dake Ukaretakatta", one of the most popular songs in Japan. Takui's chorus is also brilliant. I wish it was all a dream...

5. "Ai wa Ima, Ai wo Motometeru"

A super happy tune full of euphoria with a taste of EW&W. It's sure to be a hit when the live performance resumes! Izutsu Himi's theme for the lyrics is love, who also wrote Tsubaki's debut songs "Hatsukoi Sunrise" and "Fuwari, Koi Dokei"

7. "Saijoukyuu Story"

An exhilarating rock number by ArmySlick, who has worked with AAA, E-Girls, and others. The lyrics by Izutsu Himi are also very positive.

8. "Hikari no Curtain"

This is Tsubaki's first setsunai ballad. It may reflect the feelings of Tsubaki as they head for the next stage. The evolution of the members' singing is also noteworthy.

12. "Dakara Nannanda!"

A slightly weird song by Yoichi Sakai, who writes many anime songs. It's a must-have song for repeats.

15. "Tarinaimono Umete Yuku Tabi"

The last song on the album, a medium number. The song is written by Miyajima Junko and Yamazaki Shingo, who have worked on a lot of anime and game music, and is sung by new Tsubaki with both gentleness and strength.

All the new songs sound promising in description. Reading that probably did more to get me excited for this album than anything else so far.

Finally! I've been waiting very (im)patiently. I would've taken lightly playing instrumentals behind people talking at this point.

Tsubaki Factory's new album song "Masayume" (radio preview)

You can feel Takui's singing style all over this song and Tsubaki Factory makes it sound so good.
