Thanks. I'll probably give it a shot at some point, then.

I don't mind the cooler temperature outside much, but it's so damn hot inside everywhere that when I walk inside anywhere I'd need to remove my scarf and unzip my jacket so I wouldn't start sweating. I walk outside a lot, and it's annoying when my ears are cold but I'm sweating under my coat... like wow okay my body is so confused now and this is how I'm gonna get sick.

Thanks!

My doctor was wearing a red cardigan and said my sinuses were even redder than that.
It seems to mostly be allergies (the empty lot next door is
loaded with ragweed), so she gave me some ipratropium nasal spray.
And since my immune system sucks, simple things like allergies have a tendency to become an infection for me. She gave me doxycyline for that.

Michelle Obama was in Hyde Park today to sign her new book (right next to where my lab is located). I was working, and the event ended before I got there, but naturally, traffic was super crappy because of security and whatnot, so it was cool waiting for the bus around people that got to meet her.

That's one of the things that I appreciate about public transit - I do wind up feeling a lot closer to the people around me and more a part of the world than when I drive. I ususally drive, simply because it's a lot faster and generally more convenient in Southern California (although the rail system is catching up), but when I do take the train, I realize how Isolated I feel sometimes on the freeway.

A few days ago, I was on the Metro in Mexico City during rush hour. Much too close to the people around me.

That
does happen!

Although so far, the L. A. Metro Rail system generally seems to stay reasonably un-jammed (with the partial exception of the Red and Purple Line subways during the peak of rush hour).

I feel like I never post here anymore and honestly most of that's because if I have anything to say I just yell into the void on Twitter rather than trying to make any kind of comprehensive forum post...

That said I mostly tweet about anime so y'all ain't really missing out.

I think that's one of the reasons why I hardly ever post on Twitter - I feel like I spend enough time yelling into the void as it is, so I don't need another void.
