Nakai-kun has a loooooong history with the MM。OGs, having had them as guests on I-don't-know-how-many episodes of Utaban.

I became a fan towards to end of Utaban so I knew about the history, I was just shocked at how stark the difference is when he likes his guests. If he keeps this up Comming Soon won't be around long. He is a much better host on smapxsmap imo.

This seems to be a popular saying now, I love hindsight. I personally think Yuko, Yossie, Rika and Mako are pretty good.

Yeah Rika was my least favorite while in MM because of her image and not being able to sing, but she's okay now.

Generally the group sounded shaky and unprofessional during that performance, but that doesn't mean all of them are bad, just overall.

Ok, I finally watched those recent performances, and while I wouldn't dare to say that current momusu sing better than they do (mostly because of the new members, Risa and Reina are very good), I completely agree that Platinum Era was much better vocally, mostly because of Aichan, she's a far better singer (also better dancer and performer) than anyone in those lives. To be fair Miki wasn't there, who I believe is a better singer than Aichan, but a terrible dancer and doesn't have much of stage presence.

-I also see that Rika improved from her MM days but she's not good just yet, she did a line pretty well on shining butterfly but on the other songs was her usual shaky voice.
-Nacchi was beyond awful on Shining Butterfly, she really needs to practice more, she can do better.
-Yuko and Kaori were very good, the best ones imo.
-Koharu still hurts my ears...bad. This girl will never be a good singer, sadly. I don't think she's dream morning material.
-Mari was just ok, not outstanding, but not bad either. Same with Yossie.
-I completely forgot that Makoto was there, she's pure backdancer material...

I will never think Kaori is a good vocalist, nor dancer. I still don't see what people mean when they say she's so amazing.
