you're not meant to, because part of asking a question is not explaining why you need to know.

the point is that no one should have any problem with people asking questions, unless they are doing it to an extent that is unusual or disruptive, or against the rules.
so you don't need to know their reasoning.. if you're not interested in being someone's source of info, you don't have to answer. if they start posting follow-up questions like "anybody?? please someone answer me" THEN it would be more justified to answer with suggesting that they look it up themselves.

It's so awesome that MM has netted over 100k in 2 weeks! I'm super impressed and look forward to their keeping up this momentum and what the agency can do for them with all the new influx of income~

Idk, it just always comes off as incredibly lazy to me if they actually can access it, but can't be bothered

.
Although I will say that the mobile version of Oricon is a piece of shit, and when I was trying to check something the other night it kept screwing up.
Also, this probably won't help anyone, but if you search for "Oricon single ranking" in English, Google gives you the link to the, well, Oricon single ranking (the daily chart anyway) in Japanese. So.

So nothing. If you think they're being lazy and don't want to feed it, simply ignore them.

Icymoon! Your awesome! No really you are!
Though this convo is probably over I still wanted to mention that some people are new to the fandom and don't know how to find the sales. Also others may not be able to read Japanese and I know when I go to oricons site on my phone I have to click through a bunch of Japanese to actually find the sales. You have to click ranking and then click daily wich are both in katakana. Unless you for some reason believe that you can't listen to jpop if you don't know how to read Kana you probably should be a little more understanding. The tone does tend to be condescending what with you assuming laziness and all. (I usually put up with that and the inter bickering that occurs because I appreciate all the work you do) The top 5 who get all the info I don't even know how or where you get it from half the time. I know sometimes its 2chan and while It's really cool that you can read 2chan most people here probably can't. lol What im trying to say is I think some people expect that here is where people will have all the info available and that we shouldn't have to look everything up on our own because it would actually be difficult in some cases and even things like oricon which are easy for you might not be as easy for others.

I already mentioned how shitty mobile Oricon is

. But Google is your friend and if worst comes to worst, Google Translate is too (okay, not really, but).
I don't have a problem with helping people out. But I also don't like encouraging laziness.

@ Jessi
that's true, but there are two sides to this!

remember that without people that look things up and learn how to navigate Japanese sites (we don't already know Japanese, we learn little by little just by being fans and using dictionaries, etc), forums like this with people that post news would not exist. :] so not everyone finds it easy to navigate Japanese sites and instead check places like this, but it's always good for everyone to try to learn little by little. ^-^ because what happens when Amped gets angry at JPlop, Starra moves on to a new idol group, and Nayoko is studying for finals and Celedam is on a business trip?

we are really thankful that they look things up, but if nobody that relies on other people learns to do the same, we'd eventually run out of sources lol.
so everyone has a point, really, it's just they don't have to be so bothered about it.

part of the reason i do the Japanese lessons in my signature is so that people can have a simple way of learning common Hello! Project Japanese. hopefully it will help some people learn to recognize and read common H!P things, so maybe one day they can do their own romanization of a set list, or be able to navigate H!P sites, etc.

feel free to test yourself with it~

As someone 100% illiterate in Japanese, I still make an effort to poke around places I probably shouldn't go into. I like that my chrome automatically translates all the Japanese pages for me. But that doesn't include images, because that's just silly. (Would be nice if they did, but they don't) So, on a place like Oricon, which is kinda hard to navigate if you aren't familiar with it and uses a lot of image based links. (And this extends to other websites also.) Most websites still use English in the website addresses, so it's actually what I use to find stuff. Super simple easy! ;D
Anyway, to get back on point, are they still going to all the different prefectures in Japan or did they finish that already?
