Futari = 2 people
Futa-Rin = 2 Rin's

Maybe my spacing is a little weird but that's what I mean.

Is this one of those things where the joke is meant to get funnier the more times it's told? :glare:

I was super bored today and got to wondering how join/graduation ages and tenure lengths have changed by "era" in Morning Musume. I always see people bringing up how the rules of yesterday's MoMusu don't apply to today, and it's interesting to me to see how these things change over time.

For anyone else who is a stats person, I've spoilered it below.

Spoiler: show
1) For eras with currently active members, I chose to include their data with calculations for tenure and graduation age reflecting today's date. Not including these numbers, which will eventually contribute to the calculation upon their graduation anyway, only serves to artificially lower the results. For example, not including Erina or Ayumi for Colorful era lowers the graduation age by nearly 2 years.
2) I've calculated both the average and median. Averages can be misleading, while median can be more reflective of the true "middle" to account for extremes.

1st figure is the average, 2nd is the median. Red text reflects a non-static era (active member(s) causing the numbers to change in the future).

OG Era (Gens 1 & 2)
Join Age - 16y 10m 13d | 16y 15d
Grad Age - 21y 4m | 22y 4m 3d
Tenure - 4y 6m 4d | 4y 4m 27d

Golden Era (Gens 3-5)
Join Age - 13y 11m 1d | 13y 11m 6d
Grad Age - 19y 11m 24d | 19y 2m 12d
Tenure - 6y 22d | 5y 0m 2d

Silver Era (Gens 6-8)
Join Age - 15y 28d | 14y
Grad Age - 21y 7m 4d | 22y 1m 19d
Tenure - 6y 6m 6d | 5y 8d

Colorful Era (Gens 9-11)
Join Age - 13y 7m 1d | 13y 6m 2d
Grad Age - 23y 16d | 24y 1m 15d (6 of 9 graduated)
Tenure - 9y 5m 20d | 10y 2m 18d

Bud Era (Gens 12-14)
Join Age - 15y 3m 19d | 15y 5m 16d
Grad Age - 22y 8m 12d | 22y 8m 21d (3 of 7 graduated)
Tenure - 7y 4m 23d | 6y 9m 23d

Radiant Era (Gens 15-17)
Join Age - 15y 4m | 15y 29d
Grad Age - 18y 7m 9d | 18y 10m 23d (0 of 6 graduated)
Tenure - 3y 3m 8d | 3y 6m 28d

And the numbers really don't lie. MM girls really digging their heels in nowadays.

Since Hello-online is down....again, I can't look this up.

Why wasn't Manaka given a mic during the Hello Winter 2019?

She was recovering from surgery for vocal cord nodules.

This deep dive all started because I found a Life is Good, Smileage shirt [It was :)nlimted Smileage] at the store yesterday. I was curious as to what Up-Front had copyright over. And also learned what copyrights had expired. I'm curious about a few of them, Moon Girl? Good Dish Club? I know Up-Front has their hand in a lot of stuff, but what else? And College Cosmos was their baby? Fun fact I didn't know.

It took me a minute to figure out the website's search features, but then I found 株式会社アップフロントグループ
