Strong winds here today. A brush fire started today and all of sudden falling ash is already everywhere because of the winds were blowing it towards here. A mix of very unhealthy air with cold weather and winds.

I saw the smoke from the Orange County fires, and I could smell it, as well (either from OC or the Bobcat Fire flareup).

All of you in California stay safe with all the fires out there! At the very least, I hope the wind dies down.

Made it to Tifton, GA, for the night. My brother drove the moving truck (with a car hauler hooked up) and did an awesome job! That bus driving experience was put to good use. 
The buyers of the house postponed the closing by an hour and didn't even let my parents know. A great cherry on top of all the BS they've dealt us the last few months. But whatever! It's over! It's done! Not our circus anymore!
Some neighbors came and helped us with packing and cleaning, which was a huge blessing, omg. Idk how long it would've taken without them, so we were really appreciative.
They heard about what the buyers did and said they're already planning a big, loud party to "welcome" them. I know it's rude as hell, but I love that idea.
One neighbor saw us off this morning and I really thought the poor guy was gonna start crying.
Anyway, tomorrow's stop is Heflin, AL! It's about 20 minutes from the new house, so it's a pretty convenient location.
