Masaki adorableness:

• "Chichi-ue" = "Dad-up" (It's what they said back in the days to their fathers (and Haha-ue for mothers), so it's like "dad-up" meaning something like "you're my father and you're over me/high above me" and stuff, obviously people don't really say that anymore.

Risa talked on a radio show about what Masaki calls her dad. Masaki calls him "Chichi" instead of "Papa" or "Otousan", the way one normally would. "Chichi" is really just a formal way to talk about your parents with other people ("Chichi wa..."), but Masaki calls him that. When she was asked why she said "Cause dad gets embarrassed when I say Chichi-ue, so he doesn't want me to use that..."

Adorable? Maybe...seems to me like finding out one of your friends addresses her father as "Father." It would probably make me think her dad was a real hardass, or they were just kinda old-fashioned.

It's not the same thing as 'father' though. >.> Father would rather be "Otousama" or something. Chichi-ue is... way above that. And the fact that she doesn't even call him chichi-ue but just 'chichi' because her dad gets embarrassed is, to me, proof enough for that he's not a badass. But just that Masaki is... really adorable. <3
