We called the police yesterday but they wouldn’t give us any information. The general police reports come out every Wednesday for the week before so I’ll just wait till then to find out what happened then. My father, a former cop thinks it was either a domestic, warrant or drug related. My money is on warrant or drugs. He was overly quiet, kept to himself, and tried to basically blend in and not be noticed. Until that is, someone noticed him.

Please don't let the world become a place where simply keeping to yourself and minding your own business is considered to be suspicious behavior. You didn't really care about it before he was arrested, and I think you don't really care about it even after. The event of his arrest disrupted your routine, and that alone is why you are interested. You want to complete the story of Tuesday morning in your own mind, and once you have done that, you will probably forget about it and move on.

Spoiler: show
So Disney World reopened on Saturday at reduced capacity. My brother went back to work last Wednesday for training. The drivers got face shields, clear protective glasses, washable face masks, thermometers, and a few bottles of hand sanitizer. He said luckily everyone that's been on the bus has been really good about wearing masks. Of course, Orange County has a mandatory order in place. :fear:

Anyway, we broke a record yesterday for new cases over 24 hours: 15,300. Scary. We've been above a 10% positive case rate for over 2 weeks.

Our house hunting expedition ended up being a waste. The one we liked best was purchased by someone else. Oh well.

^^ Not a waste! You got a better feel of the housing environment there, and next time you'll come in with more knowledge of how to approach! Now you know the market moves fast. Get your loan approval before going so that if you like a place, you can put in an offer right when you decide on it. Also, depending on how badly you want out of FL (and I know, you want out BAAD), maybe it's even worth doing virtual tours remotely!
I'm the lead cheerleader for your Florida exit.

It's true - the whole process of of finding a house (or a job or a life, for that matter) is just that - a process, and you have to go through a lot of nothing works before you get to the point where things actually do start to work. But that nothing works is as much a part of the process as the stuff that eventually does work.

But I truly think a cracker-shack in TN is a better option than anything in FL right now. I know it's not up to Moh to actually choose and buy the house, but still.

Grant Imahara died of a brain aneurysm. He was 49. I'm really speechless.
